How to set up
your Virtual ID

What you need to know in order to get the very best out of your Mimark Virtual ID

Set-Up basics

It’s easy to create an account and set up the wearer’s Virtual ID

To ensure the wearer is protected:

  • Create a Mimark account
    This is your username and password, plus the billing information for your annual subscription
  • Create the wearer’s Virtual ID
    This is the information that is publicly viewable when their Mimark Virtual ID is scanned.
  • When can you set up your ID?
    You are able to enter your information here once you receive your Mimark product.

Create a Mimark account

This shouldn’t take more than a few minutes,
and you can easily add more information later,
if you need to.

  • If you do not have an account, click here to set one up. Follow the simple prompts.
  • If you created a Mimark account when you purchased, click Login and enter your
    username and password.

Creating a strong password

  • Don’t use parts of your name or your children’s names, whole words or obvious phrases.
  • Use a combination of numbers and letters and other characters.
  • Use as many characters as you think you can readily remember but it must be a minimum of six.

Entering billing information

Your billing information is used when billing your annual subscription.

Nothing we ask for in relation to your billing can be viewed by the public.

We never share your account or billing information with anyone for any reason.

Setting up your Virtual ID

All information requested is suitable for public viewing.  The more complete the information is, the better equipped the ‘first on the scene’ will be to assist the wearer.

The most important information is:

  • The wearer’s name
  • At least one person to contact in case of emergency
  • Any medical conditions or allergies

Adding emergency contacts

There is a maximum of 2 emergency contacts available for every Virtual ID.

If you’re creating an ID for your child, add yourself, of course. Sometimes though it’s a good idea to have other contacts, such as a relative, close family friend, neighbour or
other carer.

For each emergency contact, include:

  • Their name
  • Up to 3 phone numbers including cell,
    work and home
  • Their relationship to the wearer
